Using the tools
Free, for personal and commercial use, with no account and no attribution required. Everything runs in your browser, so there is no service to abuse and no rate limit to respect.
You are responsible for having the right to convert the files you convert. We have no way to know what they are, and no way to intervene if they are something you should not have.
No warranty
The tools are provided as is. Encoding runs on your device in your browser, so results depend on your hardware, your browser, and the source file. Very large files can exhaust the memory available to a tab, and some sources will not decode at all.
Keep your originals. A conversion is not a backup, and this site holds no copy to restore from — which is the point, but it does mean the only copy is yours.
On upload limits specifically
We publish upload limits with their sources and the dates they were checked, and we correct them when they change. We cannot guarantee a platform has not changed its rules since, or that a limit applies identically to your account, region, client version or subscription tier.
If a figure here is out of date, tell us — that is a bug, and it gets treated like one.
Reusing the limits data
