About

PrivaConv compresses video and converts images entirely inside your browser. It exists because the tools that do this already were either uploading your files or targeting upload limits that stopped being true years ago.

Why the limits matter so much here

A compressor that aims at the wrong number is worse than no compressor, because it produces a file that looks finished and still fails. The clearest example: most tools still target Discord's 25 MB free cap. It was cut to10 MB in September 2024 and raised to20 MB in September 2026. Compressing to 25 MB today produces a rejected upload.

So the limits are not marketing copy on this site. They live in one data file, every page and every preset derives from it, and each figure carries the source it came from and the date it was read. See the reference →

How figures are sourced

Each number is labelled with how much weight it carries:

  • primary — read on the vendor's own documentation or pricing page.
  • secondary — independent sources agree, but the vendor's page could not be read directly.
  • disputed — sources conflict, including one case where a vendor contradicts itself on a single page.

Where no figure could be confirmed to that standard, the cell says not confirmedrather than repeating something copied from elsewhere. A wrong number stated confidently is the problem this site is trying to fix; adding to the pile would be worse than an empty cell.

What we currently cannot confirm

These figures are published by others but could not be verified from a primary source, because the relevant help centres reject automated requests. If you can settle one with a current vendor page or screenshot, please send it — you will be credited in the changelog.

Corrections

If a figure here is wrong or has gone stale, it should be fixed quickly rather than defended. Write to [email protected] with a link to the current source and it will be updated and dated.

Everything was last verified . Limits are reviewed quarterly and whenever a platform announces a change.

Reusing the data

The limits table is published under CC BY 4.0. Quote it, link back, and please keep the verification date attached — an undated limit is how the 25 MB Discord figure survived two years past its expiry. A plain-text version is at /llms.txt.
